Guidelines to Profesionalism

In accord with professional practice, members shall use the following guidelines:

1. Member companies shall exercise all means necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public and it's employees.

2. All licensure will be acquired for those activities practiced which require such credentials.

3. All permits will be obtained for those projects or applications, which require such standards.

4. In the event the member company is not familiar with the professional practice, standards or applications of a project they shall seek the advice of a licensed professional most suitable to the customer's need.

5. Member companies shall not falsely represent their abilities or experience as a company.

6. Member companies shall be financially organized by a certified public accountant. Based on the information provided you will organize your rates of materials, labor and equipment necessary to make a profit.

7. Member companies shall maintain their vendors as professional partners and secure payment in accord with your agreement.

8. It will be necessary to discuss circumstances for acquiring work previously held by an active PLA member.

9. It will be necessary to discuss circumstances for acquiring employees previously held by an active PLA member.

10. It would be considered a violation of these guidelines to slander another member of the Green Industry or its vendors in or outside of the PLA.
